Faith Statement
Everlight Ministry of Theology (EMT)
At Everlight Ministry of Theology, we affirm the historic Christian faith revealed in the Holy Scriptures and expressed through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. We exist to equip servant leaders with a solid biblical foundation, deep spiritual formation, and practical ministry skills for effective service in the Church and the world.
1. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible—consisting of the Old and New Testaments—is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
2. The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—coequal, coeternal, and consubstantial in glory and majesty.
3. Jesus Christ
We believe in the full divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ—His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return in glory to judge the living and the dead.
4. Salvation
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is the free gift of God, not earned by works but received through repentance and personal trust in Christ’s redemptive work.
5. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit indwells all believers, empowering them for holy living, spiritual growth, and effective ministry. The Spirit unites the Church and distributes spiritual gifts for the edification of the Body of Christ.
6. The Church
We believe in the one, holy, universal Church, composed of all believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. We affirm the importance of local congregations as communities of worship, discipleship, and mission.
7. Christian Living & Mission
Christians are called to reflect Christ in character, compassion, and service. We are commissioned to proclaim the Gospel to all nations, demonstrating God’s love through acts of justice, mercy, and reconciliation.
8. The Return of Christ
We believe in the blessed hope—the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final establishment of God’s eternal Kingdom of righteousness and peace.
Our Commitment
At EMT, we uphold these truths not merely as doctrines to be studied, but as the living foundation for a life of faith, service, and spiritual transformation. We train men and women to become servant leaders—guided by Scripture, filled with the Spirit, and devoted to advancing God’s Kingdom in every sphere of influence.
